Project Day "Painting to Music"

Can you paint music?

Can music be painted? Is there an image for the music of Loredana or Mero? The workshop explores these questions in several rounds: Students are first shown techniques for how music can be translated to paper: as figurative dream images, through matching colors and shapes, or as temporal notation. Then the students create images to music of their choice, which the students should ideally bring with them on a medium of their choice with headphones. Afterwards, they will reflect together on how they have translated this into painting. Then they gather in groups and paint together to film music on rolls of paper. Painting has rarely been this much fun!
