Project Day "VR-Drama 360°"

In this four-hour project day, students learn how to create films and theater pieces for virtual space using a 360-degree camera and VR setup. What is created in the end depends on the students’ ideas and enthusiasm. Equipped with a 360-degree camera, we plan and shoot our own 360-degree film. The camera captures everything completely – and the best part is, the viewpoint doesn’t have to be that of a human; a completely different perspective can be adopted that opens up new levels for the implementation of the film.

In small groups, students develop a script, plan set design and costumes, and then implement their ideas on their self-designed stage with 360-degree cameras. The results are saved as a video file and can be viewed both with a VR headset and on a flat screen. Current topics from the classroom can be incorporated.

Target group: Grade levels 1-6 / Ideally a maximum of 12 participants
The workshop is an offering of the Youth Art School Neukölln and is free of charge.
