Virtual Reality Project Day

What if you had all the possibilities to invent a new and unique world? Create avatars, characters and fantasy planets in virtual, three-dimensional spaces and intuitively use the many different tools available to you with easy-to-learn technology. Animate and design your digital artworks with stars, neon lights to the beat, fire or as whole buildings in concrete style. Here you can let your creativity run free and the possibilities are almost unlimited.

In this five-hour project day, students learn how to create artworks in virtual space using a VR setup. What ultimately emerges depends on the students’ ideas.

In small groups, students develop a concept, sketch it analogously in model building and drawings, and then implement their ideas in digital space equipped with VR goggles and controllers. The results are saved either in a short film or a photo series. Of course, current topics from lessons can also be incorporated.

This workshop can be booked by teachers for school classes and upper-level courses in grades 6-13; a maximum of 24 students can participate.
The workshop is an offering of the Jugendkunstschule Neukölln and is free of charge.
